How dope is this shoot. Beautiful job. Kind of curious about the teacher’s comments…
well done
I had an design assignment for school. I could make what ever I wanted. Inspired by Mad Man I came up with a photo shoot in the style of the 60’s with products from this time.
Update: These are the original photo’s pre photoshop. I realy like to photoshop.and this took me a couple of days. (Macbook couldn’t handle the pressure)
I also did the styling and set styling. My friend who is an amazing photographer made the photo’s
Oh and I got an 8 out of 10 for this… I wanted to slap the teacher
Found this beauty this past Spring while on one of my many treasure hunting excursions. According to camerapedia.wiki.com, the SX-70 was the first instant SLR ever. Produced in 1972. Revolutionary. I haven’t figured out whether it works yet. Let’s see if I can find film for this thing. Wish me luck!
Top: White and Blue Oleg Cassini Blouse
Handbag: Green Dooney & Bourke Doctor Bag w/lock
Belt: Burgundy Cache Snakeskin
Planet Maud Vintage & Co. Style Challenge: At least one vintage item of clothing a day for the month of September (handbags and jewelry don’t count alone).
If you already do this, then it’s not so much of a challenge. To me, it will be because I tend to function more as a collector. I find great stuff, buy it and then it sits in my closet until a “special occasion” comes along. No more lazy vintage loving for me. Please feel free to Join in the fun and post links. Enjoy!
Fenton Street Market. Photo credit: Dual Vizion Photography
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of being a vendor at the Fenton Street Market in downtown Silver Spring, MD. This was my first outdoor market experience and it was definitely a good one to learn from. Luckily, my family stepped in and helped me setup and stayed to help with the patronage. Lawd knows I had could not have done this alone. The markets are definitely a lot of work. Much like the trunk shows except, on a hot day outside can be, well … hot. A few of my lovely friends stopped by to help (yay!). They all walked away pretty pleased. It was a great experience and I look forward to my upcoming spots at Fenton Street: August 27 (still pending) and October 1 for Aunt Maude’s Vintage Roadshow. Definitely stay tuned.

Was leafing through some old Ebony magazines yesterday. Which, I have to say, the small collection that I received was indeed a come-up. Anyway, saw this ad and had to post. By-the-way, it was an ad for what’s in the glasses, not and ad for the denim jumpsuits. More flyness to come.
